We are 9 weeks into our fun-loving, busy newborn season and I have to admit, we have not stopped running.  While I write this, we are on a mid-afternoon break that is only occurring because our four young ones are napping today due to a dance recital this evening.

We are definitely in our busiest season yet.  Five children under the age of six is non-stop, running off your feet, insanity!  Thankfully, I am blessed with a husband who has taken a leave from work and helps out immensely.  April 2nd, we welcomed baby T to our family and then there were five…

And then there were five...

Life with five under six

We completely missed garbage day one week.

I showed up for a doctor’s appointment and the receptionist kindly told me I was a week early. Yes, an entire week.

Our neighbours offered to mow our lawn – not just because they have kind hearts, but I actually think they don’t like looking at it slightly overgrown.

These are the kinds of things that happen when you’re at your maximum capacity.  We wake up at 5:00 a.m. and keep running until about 12:30 a.m. …with mom nursing throughout the night.  To say we are exhausted would be an understatement.

I thought four was busy.  I thought, ‘what’s another?’ – boy, was I wrong!  Life with five children under the age of six is a whole new ballgame for us.  The house is full.  The car is maxed out.  The pantry is empty.  But our hearts…are overflowing.  Our hands may be full, but they’re full of love!  We wouldn’t trade this season for the world.  Welcome home baby T!
